Exam Logistics
Registration, eligibility, Pearson VUE scheduling, exam-day rules, scoring, retakes, renewal and accommodations.
Eligibility
There are no exam prerequisites – no mandatory course, no minimum experience. There is an access gate:
- Registration runs through the Anthropic Partner Academy (
anthropic-partners.skilljar.com). - You need a work email on a domain tied to an organisation in the Claude Partner Network. Gmail, Outlook and other personal domains are rejected at sign-up.
- There is currently no individual sign-up route. Any organisation bringing Claude to market can join the Partner Network free at
claude.com/partners. - Partner-tier discounts, where they exist, are applied at checkout.
Registration and scheduling
-
Confirm you have an eligible partner-domain email.
-
Open your exam’s certification page on the Partner Academy and review the exam details.
-
Download the Exam Guide, the Certification Terms and the Exam Policy. Read all three – the exam guide blueprint drives your study plan.
-
Register and pay. If it is your first Pearson exam you receive an email with your Pearson VUE username and password.
-
Log in to Pearson VUE and schedule either an OnVUE online-proctored session or a test-centre appointment.
-
Run the OnVUE system test well before exam day if testing online. Corporate networks must allow Pearson’s domain list (
*.onvue.com,*.pearsonvue.com,*.twilio.com, etc.).
Cancellation and rescheduling
| Channel | Free change deadline (per Exam Guide) | Within the window |
|---|---|---|
| Online proctored / general policy | Up to 24 hours before | Fee forfeited |
| Test-centre appointments (Pearson programme page) | Up to 48 hours before | Fee forfeited |
The two published figures differ; use the stricter 48-hour rule for test-centre bookings.
Exam day
- Identity: government-issued photo ID; the name must match your registration exactly. Send name corrections to
certifications-support@anthropic.combefore scheduling. - Environment (OnVUE): clear desk, single monitor, webcam supervision, no phones, notes, headphones or second screens. Room scans are performed.
- Non-disclosure agreement: you must accept it at the start. Declining ends the session with no refund.
- Closed book, no penalty for guessing. Answer every item.
- Time: 120 minutes for 53–63 items ≈ 1.9–2.3 minutes per item. Scenario items are long; read the question stem first.
Scoring
- Scaled 100–1000, pass at 720.
- Criterion-referenced: the standard is fixed by a standard-setting study; you are not graded on a curve.
- Score report shows pass/fail, the scaled score, and percent-correct per domain. Domain breakdowns are diagnostic for a retake.
- The passing standard and exam content are not appealable. Result or programme-decision appeals go through Pearson VUE support within 14 days.
Retakes
| Attempt | Waiting period after previous failure |
|---|---|
| 2nd | 14 days |
| 3rd | 30 days |
| 4th | 90 days |
- Maximum 4 attempts per exam in any rolling 12-month period.
- Every attempt costs the full fee.
- Failing one exam does not restrict registration for another exam.
Credential and renewal
- Passing yields a Credly digital badge.
- Valid 12 months from award.
- On-time renewal is free and non-proctored: review what has changed since you certified and pass a refresher assessment on the Partner Academy.
- If the credential lapses, you sit the full proctored exam again at full price.
- Anthropic reserves the right to require a full re-exam if content changes significantly.
Calendar it the day you pass
The single most common avoidable cost is a silent lapse. Set a reminder at 10 months.
Accommodations
Candidates with documented disabilities may request reasonable accommodations through Pearson VUE. The request must be approved before you schedule – do not book first and ask second.
Partner-programme standing
Technical credentials (CCDV-F, CCAR-F, CCAR-P) count toward Claude Partner Network standing. Early reporting indicates the Associate credential may not count toward tier eligibility in the same way; confirm with your partner manager.
